Looking for the parents/history of William A. Adams b @ 1820 Mecklenburg VA. Have run into a dead end. William married Mary Mallett, also from Mecklenburg, VA in 1839. They had several children in Mecklenburg. These included: Robert Lewis Adams b @ 1840 Mecklenburg Martha Adams b @ 1842 Thomas Fletcher Adams b @ 1843 William D Adams b @ 1845 Mary Adams b @ 1851 Samuel Adams b 1853 Alexander T. Adams b 1854 Benjamin Adams b 1855 Lucie Ida Adams b 1858 Cally Adams b 1860 My family is descended from Robert Lewis Adams who maried Julia Graves in Mecklenburg 2/12/1863. Their son was born soon after Robert died in the war, 1864. This son, Daniel Lewis Adams, then shows up in Warren County NC as he married there in 1884 and again in 1886. It is not clear as to whether Julia took him there or if there was a reason he chose to go there himself. My family would be grateful for any information that would help us find out our family history. Anyone out there have Adams information? Thanks!
