Just saw my error in the date for the first census that would show your Margaret Owens, by name, in her parents household.....it should have been 1850 instead of 1860. In 1850, your Margaret, if born in 1835 would be fifteen years old...... Prestwood Chapter compiled the marriage records from original records in the County Clerk's office, loose papers for bonds, Bible records etc. and records in Library of Virginia in hopes they could bridge the gap left by missing records.
