Marshall, I was recently forwarded a copy of an old newspaper article from the "The Tobacco Plant" (May 1861) listing some of the first recruits for "The Clarksville Blues" which was E company of the 14th Virginia Infantry. One J.T. Richardson is listed as a private. I know no more than this and you must draw your own conclusions but thought you might like to know this.
