Am new to this particular rootsweb area and hope someone can help. According to articles in the "Washington County (Kentucky) Bicentennial Book 1792-1992", : "John Hall was born Nov.22, 1762 in Virginia where he married Amelia Carter. His father, Willis Hall, had died in 1786. Although John was executor of his father's estate, his older brother William inherited the land by law. John and Amy were living in Mecklenburg Cty., Va in 1791 when the land was sold and they prepared to head to the lands of Kentucky. They arrived in Green County, Kentucky with their five small children". Another article in the same book indicates "John and Amelia were married in 1783 in Prince George County, VA," and that Willis' wife's name was Elizabeth. Am trying to find out anything I can about where Willis and his wife were born, how they got their land, what happened to William, the oldest son, etc. John and Amy were my g-g-g-g-g-grandparents.
