Hi, I'm searching for the Pearson family that lived on a farm in South Hill, starting in the late 1800's. There was aa farm owned by Leonard Thomas and his wife Tinsey Winn. They had a daughter, Rhoda Ann Thomas, Leonard died in 1842 and Tinsey stayed on the farm. Later Rhoda married John Ira Drury Pearson and he became overseer on the farm. He died during the Civil War, in 1862 but Tinsey and Rhoda and the Pearson children stayed at the farm. I'm hoping to make a connection with this Pearson branch. My father was born in Mecklenburg Co, but his father, Stephen son of John and Rhoda, was not a farmer. Wonder if any Pearsons still farm there? Charlotte Pearson Armstrong
