If any of you want to check in on the Johnson/Smithson/Gill family cemetary at Russells Corner (corner of Rt 660 & Rt. 47), please bring along garden tools to help remove the undergrowth. And watch out for the house trailer which has been installed within 5 ft. This cemetary contains the remains of Bartley Cox Smithson and one of his wives (Charlotte Merritt Lester, I think), Samuel Benjamin Johnson and Mary Susan Childs Smithson Johnson, his wife and my great-grandparents, Ida Johnson Toon and T. Richard Toon, Samuel's sister & brother-in-law, and Samuel Mason Toon, their infant son. There are other, as yet unidentified graves in this plot, so if that is your interest, have at it.
