If anyone on the list is interested in knowing more about Louisa Co., VA in its early days, before the American Revolution, I highly recommend you examine the website of Rosalie Edith Davis. If you are interested, I also recommend that you buy as many of these booklets as you can, as they have been in print for some decades, and the offer may not stand as it would be for a publishing house. Louisa is important because it was formed from Hanover Co., VA, a burned county. Furthermore, a good many Louisa Co. residents can be found later in other counties formed from Louisa, such as Albemarle Co. Mrs. Davis has some wonderful maps--with the watercourses. For her Fredericksville Parish book, she has a map of the parish. Here is her website: I checked it a few days ago, and it was still in operation.
