Dear Donna, I hope you have some of the inexpensive booklets, abstracts of deeds, some guardian accounts, some vestry books, etc. compiled by Mrs. Rosalie Edith Davis of Manchester, MO some years ago. She is still selling these books. I looked in the index of one book of hers which is on my computer desk and find the names Estes [also Estis] and Timberlake are found in Louisa County, Virginia Deed Books E & F, 1774-1790. The names of residents of nearby counties also appear in Mrs. Davis's books: Albemarle Co., Hanover Co., Spotsylvania Co., etc. I think many times we are stymied in our research when we are *married* to one county. One historian-genealogist-author-lecturer of Salt Lake City area cautioned some of us in a lecture on Virginia: If you are researching in Virginia, research ALL the counties!!! At first, I thought the lady was balmy, but since most of my Dad's lines stem back to colonial Virginia residents, I find this is almost a MUST!!! Here is Mrs. Davis's webpage: _http://www.angelfire.com/va3/redavis/_ (http://www.angelfire.com/va3/redavis/) Good luck in your family research!
