Ruby Talley Smith Benjamin BIBB IV was born 22 Feb 1746 in Hanover Co, VA. He died 14 Jan 1835 in Louisa Co, VA. WILL: dtd 23 Mar 1820, pro 9 Feb 1835. GEN: See p 176 of "Old Home Places of Louisa Co" Benjamin married Agnes TATE on 5 Aug 1790 in Louisa Co, VA. Agnes was born about 1771. She died 27 Mar 1867. CENSUS: 1860 Louisa Co, VA she was living with her son, Richard Bibb Sec: Uriah Tate; wit: James Poindexter Benjamin and Agnes had the following children: 2 F i. Susanna T. BIBB was born 23 May 1791. Susanna married John WOOD on 21 Dec 1809 in Louisa Co, VA. 3 M ii. John BIBB was born 3 Jan 1793. GEN: No issue 4 F iii. Mary BIBB "Polly" was born 18 Sep 1795. 5 F iv. Martha BIBB "Patsy" was born 2 Jan 1798. She died 30 Mar 1860. Patsy married John HESTER. 6 F v. Fannie BIBB was born 20 Jan 1800. Fannie married Joel ESTES, son of Abraham ESTES and Sarah TIMBERLAKE. Joel was born 16 Feb 1793. He died 5 Jun 1871 in Louisa Co, VA. CENSUS: 1860 Fredericks Hall, Louisa Co, VA, his son, Benjamin Estes was living with him; 1870 Louisa Co, VA he was living alone. MARRIAGE: He was married to Elizabeth and maybe her sister, Fannie as well. Not sure. There is a land transaction on 13 Oct 1838 that begins Joel Estes and Elizabeth, his wife. 7 M vi. Richard Gosney BIBB was born 20 Feb 1802. He died 1892 and was buried in Oakland Cem, Louisa Co, Va. CENSUS: 1850 Louisa Co, VA; 1860 Louisa Co, VA his widowed mother was living with him, as well as Robert E. Porter age 42 and Louisa C. Porter, age 35. I do not know who the Porters were (RTS). GEN: R. H. Bibb of Austin, TX is desc. DEATH: Buried in the same plot are Eugene S. Bibb 1897-1899 and Miriam Bibb 1899-1900. Probably grandchildren. Richard married Mary E. TURNER. Mary was born 1827. She died 1908 and was buried in Oakland Cem, Louisa Co, Va. 8 F vii. Elizabeth BIBB was born 20 Nov 1804. Elizabeth married Joel ESTES, son of Abraham ESTES and Sarah TIMBERLAKE, on 11 Dec 1820 in Louisa Co, VA. Joel was born 16 Feb 1793. He died 5 Jun 1871 in Louisa Co, VA.
