    2. Hi Iris, Besides the courthouse the Library of Virginia has old marriage bonds on microfilms. As you probably know there was no personal information on the old bonds. Unless there was also a consent paper with them from a parent if either of the couple was under age. LVA has them for Louisa County beginning in 1766. For the most part there was no personal information on marriage records like the marriage licenses/certificates in Virginia until 1853.
