It is a purchase, from August, 1795, of land in Madison County, Kentucky. In it, John Arnett is said to be from Fayette County, Kentucky. This, and the names of the two wittnesses, Zachariah Arnett, and Samuel Arnett, seem to indicate that John Arnett is of their family, and their ultimate origin was in Louisa County. I am, however, concerned about obtaining proof of, or proof against, to conjecture that my 3rd greatgrandpa John Arnett is one of the children of James Arnett, and Susanna McGee. One of the hindrances, is that the John Arnett, who is listed as one of their children, is recorded as having married a Sarah Beadle. It is definitely known that my 3rd greatgrandfather John Arnett, in October of 1795, married the daughter of his new neighbor, Benjamin Duncan. So, if anyone should have information about any of these Arnetts, or their ancestors, it is both needed and appreciated. > Thank you; John Cook ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
