Ruby, I think that I did not respond to this when you sent it....and now that I get ready to respond I see why I probably didn't do it....my 3-gr-grandfather was Thomas R. Hawkins who was born circa 1797. His first wife was Martha Pinkard. He married a second time after her death to Martha P. Bibb on 18 Feb 1839 Martha's father is said to have been Benjamin Bibb. I am thinking that I found Benjamin's name on the marriage record....but the below would say that he had already died when they were married. I am thinking that I need to do a bit more research on this...but ...well I don't have the same death date for Martha...I have 1878. So I don't know if this is the same family ...or what information is correct.
