I will be in the area for one day only in mid-July. I have been researching the Almon(d) line for about 20 years off and on. This past year, mostly by email and forums. I have found that Thomas Almon married Mary Sansom in 1756 according to Louisa Co Parish records and the Douglas Register. It also lists his father as Thomas Almand. I have other land transactions with Thomas, Edward and William Almon listed. My question is: At which facility would I be best served to spend my day? I have little experience with research techniques before 1790. What kind of resources are available in Louisa Co? Would it be better to go to Richmond?thanks... Mike Almon (IN)
