This question came up before on another project that I was dealing with Laura about. Here is her answer: "We do not generally make the corrections to the original book ourselves. If there are minimal corrections that can be made by the inclusion of a "corrections & additions" page or chapter, you might want to consider that as the easiest option. If it would be easier for readers to follow, you can insert separate corrections pages at the end of each chapter or section. Or if the book was originally compiled on a computer, you can simply go back to the file and make the necessary changes, and then print a new master copy. " Laura HIGGINSON Books ______________________________________ We can make the corrections but the problem I see is, not everyone will know about the mistakes in their line if they have never seen the book. Remember increasing the pages will increase the price. We have about 70 people wanting copies right now and growing. If we can get 100, the price will drop even more. The price doesn't include shipping. I won't know the shipping until Laura returns from Christmas Vacation. If we scan the book in sections and send it out to those who will proof and make corrections we can have a digital copy. If we don't want to get into that kind of work, we will have to add some pages as she suggested. _______________________________________ VOTE NEEDED....SEND YOUR REPLY TO ME PERSONALLY AND NOT THE LIST. I WILL POST THE RESULTS! 1.) Leave book as is. 2.) Make corrections to data in the book with no additions. 3.) Scan the book for a digital copy and add current families. [If you vote for this option you're name will be added to do some of the work] If someone has suggestions, please make them. I am not the boss here, just the one organizing the list to get the book printed. If someone has a better solution, I am open to hear it. Regards, Adrianne Hopkins List member
