    2. Mickey: As I understand it, unless there is major rewriting of the book there is no material to copyright again. The copyright belongs to the author who gives the right to copy to the publisher. Since the copyright has expired on the 1936 version of the book, and I trust that the revision in 1963 has also been checked for renewal, it is in the public domain. Since someone wrote and said the revision had been recopyrighted, which is totally legal, and since this was still in copyright when the new copyright law went into effect in the early 90's, I'm not at all sure that the revision is available for reprint. I know the first version, with all the errors, is free. Jan
