    3. Dear Fellow Listmembers, After his mother's and father's deaths in 1923 and 24 in Buena Vista my father was placed in foster homes and attended Bell's Crossroads Elementary from 1925 beginning at age 7 and completed grade 9 probably at Louisa High School at age 14 or 15. His foster parents were Mr and Mrs A. R. Moss who lived in the Bell's Crossroads area and worked the local tobacco fields during this period. In June 1933 after Mr Moss died my father was devastated and began to hang around with a bad crowd at school and get into trouble resulting in school suspensions. After this he stayed with Mr Welford Gilman for a short period and then with Mr and Mrs Charles Robinson and on July 21, 1933 he was placed with the foster family of Mr and Mrs J. S. Morris. During this time he had a girlfriend named Wanda Irving. I do not know if these families resided in the same general area or not. In 1936 my father entered the Navy served in China, WWII, Korea and was exposed to two Atomic Tests before he retired in 1956. He was married 5 times and had 3 sons of which I am the eldest and passed away in 1976 at the young age of 59. I understand that what I am requesting is almost impossible to succeed but if you know of anyone anywhere who attended these schools during this time period and they are still with us, I would appreciate greatly if someone could ask that person if they could remember my father William Lovey Mozingo, it would mean alot to me while I realize this is alot to ask of someone to remember back that far. According to his orphanage records he liked school very much and made very good grades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, baseball and also participating in school plays. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bill Mozingo
