    1. [VALOUISA-L] some tidbits
    2. Wayne: Thank you for your request and your note. I suppose I, like many others, have been hoarding information simply because I am not sure anyone else would want to know any of it. Therefore, I would like to add the following tidbits to your stockpile. Dr. Frederick Anderson and Ann Maria Elizabeth Johnson Perkins were parents to 10 children. Of those ten, only three survived past 1865. The deceased children are posted on the Louisa Co. website. The three surviving were: Robert, who never married; Dr. Physick P., who married Henrietta Hackett (d/o Dr. Wm. and Mary P. Johnson Hackett); and Dr. Thomas H., who married Mary Elizabeth Melton. Due to the research of Janice Abercrombie, who found a document listing Dr. Thomas H. Perkins, I was able to connect with one of his descendants, who did not know where Dr. Thomas Henry Perkins belonged. Another line I had been seeking was the Washington family. Ann Maria Elizabeth Johnson's mother was Anne Catherine Harriet Washington. Her parents were Henry and Anne Quarles Washington. Henry's parents were John Washington and Catherine Washington, 4th cousins. John descended from: Catherine descended from: Henry and Mary Bayley John and Mary Massey John and Ann Wykliffe John and Mary Townsend John and Ann Pope Lawrence and Joyce Jones John and Lawrence were brothers, and their parents were Rev. Lawrence and Amphillis Twigden Washington. Although Anne Catherine Harriet Washington was born in Albemarle Co., she lived in Louisa Co. at Roundabout Castle for the 17 years of her marriage to Thomas Johnson. They had 9 children and she died shortly after the birth of their last child in 1820. Hope this information will help someone down the line. My search was made easier by having inherited my 3Ggrandmother's journal. At least I had somewhere to start. Most of my information came through various cousins I found through the internet. Best, Jan Stark
