Hi Ruby, I realize this doesn't answer your question about children, but the 1850 Census shows two William Ogg's. The first is 8 years old (would be 31 in 1873), and is the son of Benjamin & Agnes Ogg. The other William was 7 years old (30 in 1873) and is the son of Samuel & Lydia Ogg. I have been "tinkering" with the Ogg name because they owned property adjoining my ancestors in Trevilians. I believe the Samuel Ogg I mentioned above may have been the son of another Samuel Ogg, as I came across information (somewhere?) about him dying and the property being split among his heirs. Some of the deeds I have mention Samuel in 1826, 1884 and 1915 (must be two people), Thomas Ogg in 1850, and Robert in 1855. The Ogg house is mentioned frequently during the Battle of Trevilians. Also, when I was a kid, there was an Earl, Bill and Mary Ogg that lived nearby, but only Mary is still living (probably 80+). I THINK they were brothers and sister. The funny-now, but not-so-funny-then story was they had just come out with the hay-balers that used wire instead of twine, and to save money (the opinion of us kids) he would tighten up the settings so it packed more hay into the same size bale. The wire was strong enough to hold the pressure (twine wouldn't) but it made the bales a LOT heavier!! Good Luck, Wayne Dunn [email protected] > W. T. OGG married Ella A. TALLEY 9 Dec 1873 in Louisa Co, VA. She was the d/o > Anderson TALLEY & Mariah Louisa NUCKOLS. Does anyone know anything about > him? Did they have children? Did they stay in Louisa?
