HI I am looking for information on the Sharp family of Louisa Co. My gggrandfather is James Nelson Sharp, born approx. 1813. First wife unknown, children Shaddrick, Mary, Elizabeth & Robert J Second wife Lucinda Chandler, children, Sarah, Permely, John W, & James Henry. James N (Jimmy) moved to Arkansas, (Sevier, Hempstead, & Pike county area) along with his brother William Alpheus. (William Alpheus married Missouri Washington Gentry.) Both were in Sevier Co census in 1840, In 1850 James N was in Hempstead Co. In 1860 he is back in Louisa Co., Thompsons crossroads Post Office. Oldest son Shaddrick is in houshold of Martha Snelson, and Catherine Johnson (her Neice). Shaddrick joined 23rd Va Co. A. This is the last trace of him. Don't know where he was in 1870. 1880 was Howard Co. census. First group of daughters,(Mary & Elizabeth) unknown. Would like to find James N's parents, the name of his first wife, and information on Shaddrick, Mary & Elizabeth. Other decendants are still known to the family. Any help would be appreciated.
