I have just signed onto this site and may not be correct in my approach. However, I would like to put my info on the site and ask for the help of any of your great people in VA in finding more about my gggggrandparents, Charles Kennedy and Crotia Davenport Kennedy (ca 1740-1800) (of Louisa, Hanover and Culpepper). I know nothing about the parents, siblings of Charles Kennedy. I have a fair amount of info on Crotia Davenport. I am also descended from Martin Davenport (New Kent Co.,VA) thru the marriage of Dorothy Davenport to Thomas Baker (Culpepper, VA) and their daughter, Mary Baker who m William Mallory of Culpepper, VA. I would be very interested in any history or facts regarding the Mallory family. He (William) died in Burke Co., .NC while visiting his family there ca 1799), leaving daughters, Dorothy Mallory Jarrett, Elizabeth, Ann, and ??. I am also interested in the fate of Thomas Baker of Culpepper, VA who was reportedly killed in a gunpowder explosion while making ammunition for the Rev. soldiers. All of these folks apparently moved around a good deal in VA and were at one time or another in Louisa Co., Culpepper Co., and/or Hanover Co. Any info anyone might have would be deeply appreciated.
