Donna's deductive reasoning seem right on. Thanks Donna. These William Hall's therefore would be of interest? Does anyone know more about them? I am going to throw this out there for the sake of discussion: 1. Once again, there is a variation in the spelling of the name of William's wife. We have seen "Annah", "Hannah", "Anne", "Ann", "Anna", and "Anney". The LDS Genealogy Index has a William Hall born in Louisa Co, Va, in 1765 to William and Anne Hall, died Bullitt Co, KY in 1807, making him age 42. My theory is this: The William tied with Clifton in the deeds dtd 1778 and 1788 whose respective spouses are Ann and Abagail, are not brothers, but father and son, with William and Ann being the parents of Clifton. Why? Because the William born in 1765 would only be 13 years old, and being of such a young age, wouldn't likely be buying property, much less listed first on the deed. I say Wm the elder and Ann were the parents of Clifton, Simeon, Wm. etc. 2. Do you have any further information on the court case of UNDERWOOD vs. HARRIS, Louisa Co 23 April 1745? 3. The Power of Attorney I had referenced regarding the heirs to Charles YEAMANS has Wm HALL and Thos. OVERSTREET giving POA to Clifton HALL to "recieveing of our legacy of Austin YEAMANS and Jesey HOGARD executors of the estate of Charles YEAMANS of Hanover Co..." Why only William and Thomas?? Your take on it, Anne was : <> Wm. HALL (1765 - 1807) had a daughter named Zillah; she is named in his will of 1807, and also in Bullitt Co. Marriage book 1A p. 27 marrying Jesse SWEARAGEN on 2-5-1818. Is there a listing of James Overstreet's children anywhere? I have found this site particularly helpful. Lots of transcripts and names we all are looking for! Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia Have a great day. It's snowing again in Bullitt Co, so off to work I go! Donna --------------------------- ONElist Sponsor ---------------------------- Looking for the lowest refinance rate for your mortgage?
