Hopefully, it will help someone. Frederick County Superior Court of Chancery Reel 299 - Library of Virginia 1828 Tillett versus Tillett 9 May 1827 Seven negro children of a negro woman slave Fanny who were assigned to the defendant Elizabeth Tillett as dower of her deceased husband, Edward Tillett - which children are named: Nancy, Washington, Josiah, Sally, Lewis James and an infant children whose name is unknown. Elizabeth Tillett and James Tillett are named as defendants Plaintiffs are: Samuel Tillett, Charles Vermillion and Jane his wife, Ludwell Gulick and Elizabeth his wife; Alexander Beard and Susanna, his wife; Joseph Shorbe and Mary, his wife.
