    1. Re: [VALOUDOU-L] Shoemaker: Colonial Virginia
    2. Addressed to Lois Masters: There should be a Peter Shoemaker in the listing of Virginia's Colonial Soldiers. My ancestor Simon Shoemaker(born 1757) was a patriot,at time of service, residence of Northumberland, PA., though his family was Virginia. His Uncle Simon was the Virginia Patriot. I would be interested to know the information on the Simon you mentioned, undoubtedly Simon, the uncle, born circa 1739. Very confusing to keep the nephew and the uncle in their proper places. To make it more of a puzzle they both ended up in Ohio in adjacent counties. Thank you Lois S.W.
