There is quite a bit on Elijah Coe and Ann Middleton Smallwood in Carl Robert Coe's new books"The Coe Families of Maryland and Virginia, published in 2000 in 2 volumes; one copy being in the Library of Congress. It starts on page 350, to 351/352...talks about the other family John Jemison (son of John Jemison a British solider during the American Rev.) John Sr., settled in Fayette Co., KY, where in 1794 he purchased a mill and a 40 acre farm, 7 miles n. of Lexington. etcetc.; thereafter moving to Fayette Co., Indiana.
