Hello I am trying to track down the parents of James Francis Gibson, my gr-gr-grandfather. He married Ann Olivia Sterrett (b: January 07, 1829, d: November 07, 1863), daughter of Samuel H. Sterrett (b: August 20, 1797, d: June 09, 1834 in Leesburg) and Lydia Kitzmiller (b: October 18, 1798, d: June 30, 1874 in Erie, PA). Their marriage is listed in Frederick Co, MD, but I know the Sterretts and Kitzmillers lived in Leesburg during the time James and Ann got married so I suspect James must be from the area. Ann's parents belonged to the Leesburg Presbyterian Church - anyone have any marriage records? They were married September 17, 1846. In 1850 James and Ann were living in Harpers Ferry. Any help in finding James's parents/family would be greatly appreciated. I believe he is some how related to a John A Gibson, but in what way I do not know because of a law suit I found where a John was suing James in Jefferson Co, WV. Thanks! Dave Butler Cedarburg, WI
