    3. Chiming in on the Pearce portion here but probably with more questions than answers. I descend from Hector Pearce born 1799. Census says he was born in VA but we've yet to find any evidence of that nor have we found his parents. He married Maria [We think she's a Thomas but aren't sure]. It seems that the spelling went from Pearce to Pierce at some point but this Hector was faithful to the PEARCE spelling. I also have a Hector T. Pierce, b. 7 Aug 1849 as son of Manderville J. Pierce and Ann Elizabeth Pierce. Pierce is Ann's maiden name, as well, as she is Hector and Maria's daughter. We have yet to determine what, if any, relationship Manderville is to Hector's family. I also have an Oscar F. Pierce, b. ca. 1845, son of David Thomas Pierce and Orphelia Ann Bradfield. David Thomas Pierce, b. ca. 1824, is son of Hector and Maria Pearce. Hector Pearce and David Thomas Pearce/Pierce were blacksmith's. But I don't have any Hector and Oscar that were brothers! Have you found different Hector and/or Oscar Pierce's than the ones listed above? Thanks, Sandy
