Ok. My Grandmother lived in Grafton, WV, where Mother's Day was founded. She attended Andrews Methodist Church, also where Mother's Day was founded, and knew Ann Jarvis the founder of Mother's Day. She says that Ann Jarvis was very mean to her mother. I think that she may have founded Mother's Day out of guilt, because of the way she treated her mother. Anyway, just a little tidbit. I don't know if this story is true, but I have to believe my Grandmother.
