    1. Re: [VALOUDOU-L] Re: CHINN/WILSON
    2. Ok, let's see here. Rawleigh Chinn appointed guardian of their two daughters Lucy Tarpley Chinn and Elizabeth Travers Chinn. Lucy married William Beveridge; Elizabeth married John Wilson. The slaves were to be given to those girls by their mother Frances Tarpley Chinn who had been lent those slaves by her sister Lucy (Tarpley) Jones. Frances married Rawleigh Chinn, Lucy married Lodswick Jones. These agricultural papers of Daniel Wilson and George C. Wilson (d. 1838) which include an affidavit 1826 concerning MATT. John Wilson died 1821 and Elizabeth in 1834 so this John Wilson could have been a brother to Daniel and George. I show John died in Middleburg VA which is Loudoun Co but not record of that. I have no record of a Webster. John Wilson and Elizabeth had a daughter, Lucy Jones Wilson but I show her married to Ferdinand Crebs 1826. She was b. 1803 and d. 1879 in White Co. IL. Since the affidavit was dated 1826 and that was the year she married, doubt it was her. I'm sure there is something here, but I show no Webster so can't help you there. If Lucy had the slaves 1st, and probably upon her death - gave, lent.... whatever the slaves to her sister Elizabeth during her lifetime. Lucy died in 1788 so Elizabeth then had them until her death in 1794. So she had them 6 years. Then the affidavit is dated 1826. That is 38 years AFTER Lucy originally gave them to her sister. So it is possible, but who this Lucy Webster is, I do not know. Janean
