I am trying to find out about Mercer Brown's (brn 1740 in Chester CO, PA: moved to Loudoun Co about 1743) wife Sarah (maybe Piggot). They were married about 1764. He was Quaker, she was not. He was disowned by the Quaker organization because of the marriage, but both were soon readmitted. The family moved to Georgia in 1784 then to Ohio in 1805. I've had several sources say Sarah's last name was probably Piggot--but I've never found any *official* record of that name. Nor have I found any record of the marriage.
