Perhaps the reason documentation can't be found is that St. John's Lutheran congregation was not the same as New Jerusalem. For St. John's look across the county line to Berkeley Co. (now West Virginia) or Jefferson Co. WV, (established in 1801). In 1800 Berkeley and Loudoun shared a common boundary just west of the Short Hill. Is there anyone on this list from Hagerstown?
