The name "Hains" rang a bell with me as the church I attended in my childhood was built by a H. S. Hanes. The church is the Trinity Methodist in the town of Paris, which is in Fauquier but is right near the Loudoun line. I'm not sure, but I always thought that the Hanes who built the church was from Loudoun. The church was finished 1895 and has a beautiful round stained glass window of a dove over the pulpit with the words "Donated by H. S. Hanes". Might be the same family - might not. Just thought I'd let you know. Below are a few Hanes buried in the area. The Ivy Hill Cemetery is in Upperville, right on the Loudoun/Fauquier line. I see that builder H. S. Hanes is there HANES, E.
