Alexander MCKIM (abt. 1720 - 1805) and his wife, Jeannette MCMAHON, came to Loudoun County from Delaware in the late 1740s. One source says they settled near Asby's Gap, a place with many Quakers. All eleven of their children were born in Loudoun County. Most of the nine sons moved on to Richmond, while third son James (1754-aft.1810) remained and inherited his father's property. A daughter, Agnes (1756-??), may have remained in the County and married. Seeking information about this MCKIM family as well as location of Asby's Gap. Carole Dilley Rhode Island
