    3. Hello all: I am new to the list, and have ancestors from Loudoun co. I am particularly interested in Elijah HUNTER who was in the 1800, 1810, and 1820 census. There was an Elijah HUNTER who married Elizabeth Sexton 3 Feb 1801; min. John Littlejohn(Meth) 31 Dec 1802 bondsman James Solomon, who test. both over 21. In the 1787 and 1788 Loudoun co., VA Personal property Tax List, there was a Mrs. Israel HUNTER, Eliphlet, HUNTER (Mrs. Israes responsible), and a Thomas HUNTER (Mrs. Israel responsible). By 1789, Eliphlet was responsible, but Thomas is listed with Lephlet responsible, and Eli is listed with Lephlet responsible. Then Elijah HUNTER appears on the personal property tax list until 1820, when he disappears. Elijah HUNTER served in the VA Militia from May 1814 until August 1814. He was in Capt. Dennis McCarty's Company, 5th Reg't Virginia Militia commanded by Liet. Co. W. Street, then later commanded by Liet. Col. John Hopkins. Does anyone know anything about what happened to Elijah HUNTER, or have any information about the SEXTON family, or the SOLOMON family (James SOLOMON was bondsman for their ages at the marriage.) I would appreciate any help which I can get. Ilene JonesILJones@abq.com
