    1. Ancestry help received! Hammontree

    3. The members of this group are some of the greatest helpers in America! I try to do my own research, but occasionally feel that I need to ask for help. I'll respond in the order in which I received replies. Susan, Thank you, but no, I do not need the census listings...have gotten a bunch through Heritage Quest through my library: Hamontree, Hameltree, Hamondtree, Hammondtree, Hamantree, Mannontree, and wonder how many other ways I can find them. I truly appreciate everything you sent. Niceta, Thank you for checking in what I gather is a book on the Marriages of Cumberland Co. I live very near there so might just wander over there one day...about an hour's drive. Marty, As usual you are very helpful as well. I had not looked into Maryland at all, but will now do so. Thank you! Debbie, Thank you. At this time I would be interested in any Hammontree (any spelling) marriages prior to 1860. Is it possible for you to copy and paste them easily to an email? Or would you even have time? I am so thankful for any info I get on this family. From a very grateful gal, I wish you all good health and happiness. Tosca "People will never look forward to posterity who never look back to their ancestors" by Edmund Burke And I like the one that (maybe?) E W Wallace (maybe VAFAUQUI list?) had on her email the other day: "Genealogy without documentation is MYTHOLOGY"
