Those interested in the more recent controversy over the removal of a ten commandments monument from a courthouse might find this interesting. The following appear in Loudoun Co Order Book 5, page 135, 12 Nov 1811: On the motion of Charles Gullatt ordered that the keeper of the key of the Courthouse do deliver to any minister of the Gospel the said key for the purpose of holding divine Worship therein taking care that the said key be restored in due time.
