FRECOGS Grandparents’ Family History Afternoon This Sat. Nov 12, 2005 1 - 3 pm Homewood at Crumland Farms 7407 Willow Road, Frederick, MD phone at event: 301-788-2531 Frederick Co. Genealogical Society invites everyone who is a grandparent, child, or grandchild to join us for an afternoon of discussion and exhibits about what can be done to preserve family history, how to share with others your ideas and family stories and hear others tell what they have done for their grandparents or their grandchildren and future generations. Come and ask questions and find what’s available to help save family history. See a computer program in operation and hear about an Eagle Scout's project on his grandfather’s cemetery & how it brought family’ history ‘home.’ Among the display tables will be - The Veterans Project History Committee - who will be very interested in your family's veteran connections and stories and also to talk about how you can preserve those histories for future generations and the our country's history through this Library of Congress project. This program is free and open to anyone regardless of where you or your ancestors lived. Light refreshments will be served. FRECOGS meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month (except July and August) – at Homewood at Crumland Farm each month (except for occasional away meetings in May and October).
