For those who are interested in the division lines for Shelburne Parish, here are the 10 Jul 1820 entries from the Loudoun Co Order Books appointing people to procession the county and divide into districts. Processioning was done every four years to agree on property boundary lines. Shelburne Parish: No. 1 - from mouth of little river running up the same to where the parish line leaves the said river then keeping the said line to the Fauquier line, thence up said line to Goose Creek so high as for a straight line to Goose Creek so far as a straight line from the Fauquier line to Goose Creek as will include Thomas Chinn's plantation and to strike Goose Creek opposite to James Lieth's then down the Creek to the beginning. Ordered that David Gibson, John Sinclair & Jesse McVeigh be appointed to see the processioning performed in the above precinct. No. 2 beginning where the 1st district ended on the Fauquier line, running thence up said line to Frederick line, running with the same so far as for the straight line from thence to Dulany's quarter (including Joseph Bailey's) & from the said quarter down Ashby's Gap road to assath that comes into that road at the corner of John Williams' field, then keeping the said path to Thomas Lewis' thence to Lieth's ford on Goose Creek then with one of the lines of the 1st district to beginning. No. 3 beginning at Lieth's ford on Goose Creek running down said Creek to Snickers road thence up said road to James Martin's then along a line of Dulany's quarter so as to include Isaac Brown and Guys Mill then with the lines of the 2nd District to beginning. No. 4 beginning at Lieth's ford on Goose Creek running down said Creek to Snickers Gap road leading by Stephen Rozell's and by Frederick Co. lines and the lines of the 2nd & 3rd districts to beginning. No. 5 beginning at the ford of Goose Creek on Snickers Gap road, then up said road to the road that Joseph Combs formerly cleared to his plantation now the Glebe, then to the vestry house, then a straight line to Secolon run where Elisha Edwards lived then with the foot of the mountain (including Mr. John Alexander) to Goose Creek to the beginning. No. 6 beginning at Goose Creek at the 5th district then down said Creek to the mouth of Tuscarora thence up said run to the Carolina Road thence along road to Secolon run thence up the same to the mountain to the line of the 5th district and with the same to the beginning. No. 7 beginning at Secolon under the mountain running thence to where Vestal's gap road forks above the town of Leesburg thence a straight line to where Mr. Mason's Mill formerly stood on Big Spring stream and down his mill run to Potowmack river, thence down the river to the mouth of Goose Creek, up Goose Creek to the mouth of Tuscarora, up Tuscarora to the Carolina road thence down said road to Secolon run, up said run to the beginning. No. 8 beginning at fork of Vestals Gap road, then with No. 7 running up Vestal's road to the New Church, thence a straight line to the Vestry house, then with No. 5 to Secolon at Elisha Edwards' thence with district No. 7 to beginning. No. 9 beginning at the New Church and down Catoctan Creek to R'd Roach's Mill thence along the road leading from said mill to Potowmack River at Capt. Douglas' thence down the river to Mr. Mason's Mill run or Ball's thence a straight line to where Vestal's gap road forks above the town of Leesburg thence with said road to beginning. Jas. No. 11 beginning at the mouth of Catocton on Potowmack thence running up the river to the short hill to William Matheny's, thence with an old road to Kirk's Mill now Taylor's then to the beginning. No. 12 beginning at John Axline's thence with Paynes road at the widow Janny's, thence to the road to David Mull's thence to the road at Israel Thompson's Mill thence along the road to Catoctan at the New Church thence to Kirk's now Taylor's Mill, thence with an old road to the beginning. Matheny's running thence with the Short hill to Vestal's road, thence down the road to Thompson's Mill thence to the widow Janny's at Paynes road from thence to the beginning. No. 14 beginning at Potowmack river at the Short hill running with said hill Fairfax's & Tayloe's line to the end of said hill at Philip's road thence up the said road to the top of the ridge thence with the ridge to Potowmack river, thence with the river to the beginning. No. 15 beginning at the end of the Short hill at Philips' road running between Joshua Gore's & Nicholas Osborne's to the Leesburg road, thence to where Nielson's road comes in thence along the black oak ridge to Bacon Ford, thence up Snicker's Gap road to the Frederick line, thence with the ridge to Philips' road thence with the said road to the beginning. No. 16 beginning at Bacon Ford running thence along the black oak ridge to Nielson's road thence with Nielson's road to the line of Number 8 which runs from the New Church to the Vestry house thence a straight line to the Vestry house thence with the road passing by the Glebe to Snicker's road a little above Absalom Remy's thence up said road to the beginning.
