Armistead is off! Three Hundred Dollars Reward. Ran away, on the 7th September last, from the employ of Mr. John M. McCarty, Loudoun county Va. negro ARMISTEAD, a cooper by trade, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 10 inches high, delicately made, has a keen sharp face, prominent Roman nose, wide mouth, large white teeth, large white eyes, smooth skin, and very dark complexion; it is thought he has a small scar in his face, but of this I am not certain; has a number of good clothes. He is a very smart sprightly fellow, fond of conversation. He was taken in or near Philadelphia in November last, and made his escape. I have understood that he has procured forged free papers.
