One of the possible scenarios is Samuel Russell or Samuel Russel as a Quaker and left the church. He indeed did marry Sarah Hatcher, and her father William Hatcher in his will left large estates for his children except Sarah Russell ten shillings and no further explanation. Samuel like Sarah could of both been from Bucks County and he a Quaker no longer associated with the church. In his case not even mentioned in a will , disowned by his family. So unless I can find Quaker Russells who claim him my best bet is not a Quaker Russell. In a message dated 10/12/2005 8:00:47 P.M. You say Samuel Russell was known to be in Bucks Co., PA and then Loudoun Co., VA, you might check to see if he was a Quaker. Because Bucks County was settled in large part by Quakers, and many of them left PA to settle in Loudoun County, particularly in the Waterford, VA area. If this was the case, his port of entry probably was Philadelphia, since practically all of the Bucks County people came in there.
