    1. Brickwall Assistance
    2. My name is Jennifer Girdler nee Saunders and I am a new subscriber. I have been researching my genealogy for a little over a year now. I am researching the Saunders, Coopers and Fry(e)s of Loudoun County. My brickwall is that I am looking for the birth date and place and death date, as well as parents, sibling etc., for Lee A. Saunders. Here is what I know: He first appeared in the Tax records for Loudoun in 1847 (source Pat Duncan). He lived with John A. Darne. He married Penelope M. Havenner 02 Feb 1848. They had three sons, John W., Albert L. (my gggrandfather) and James T. He was born abt. 1810 in Virginia and died in Loudoun Co., probably late 1851. He owned a farm and three slaves in Farmwell (now Ashburn) Virginia. According to his will (source Pat Duncan) his possessions were sold and the funds went to his widow to support his three children. According to census records, Lee and his parents were born in Virginia. Penelope then married John A. Darne. Penelope, John Darne, Albert L., John W. (along with spouses and children) are buried in the Ashburn Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Any assistance will be most appreciated and reciprocated. Jenny
