One of the staff members of the Thomas Balch Library located in Leesburg, VA told me yesterday that there was a tract of land between Loudoun Co. and Fairfax Co., VA that was in dispute for years. She said that it was about 8 miles wide and is in the Difficult Run area. I guess this would have been in the Cameron Perish area. Not sure but hmmm, could it be between Loudoun and Fauquier? That would have been the Chinn and Powell land dispute. I believe off Bellhaven Rd is where the Carter House is located and was once name Mt. Defiance? Or was it Mt. Recovery? Can't recall from memory right this second which one it was. I think Mt. Recovery burned. Anyway this was a very well document court battle. I am of the Chinn line and have information on it not ready at hand this minute.
