    3. For anyone who needs more info on DNA testing, On DNA testing (male or female) your results on HVR1 and HVR2 will not compromise your insurance or employment. FULL testing where the coding region markers are is what you can receive in full testing . The coding region markers should be kept private until they are checked out to show there are no medical issues with them. I have done full genome sequence testing known as FGS. That means I have HVR1 and HVR2 results plus 9 coding region markers or mutations. I have posted my HVR1 and HVR2 markers as it is safe to do so. I do not post the coding region markers. If you don't post or give the coding region mutations or markers you are safe from anything concerning insurance or employment problems. The coding region markers will put you in a haplogroup which will help you find matches and help know the origins of countries you may descend from. DNA testing consists of a kit where you swab the inside of the cheeks of your mouth. There is no blood involved. They used to test that way but no longer. The cheek swabs will have your DNA on it and you send it to the company you are testing with and they will send it to the lab and in a few weeks you will be notified of your results and you should receive a certificate with them from the company. As long as you don't give out the coding region markers in FULL testing you have absolutely nothing to worry about on insurance or medical issues. I hope this helps. Marianne Dillow
