I am looking for family, especially parents, of Snowdon Scott. I believe he was born on Dec. 3, 1821 in Louden, Virginia and died on May 2, 1901, in Seymoursville, West Virginia. He married Elizabeth Bovey on January 10, 1855 in Mt. Hebron, Hardy Virginia. He was the father of my grandfather, Floyd Clyde Scott, but I know nothing more about him. It is possible that his father was Moses and Moses may have died around 1842 in some sort of mill accident. Snowdon's mother may have been Harriet. I cannot find any of his ancestors "for sure" and don't know where to look next. I am new to genealogy searches and don't know where to look next. Thank you!
