This couple is one of my brick walls. I am sure my Thomas Edwards, my ggggrandfather fits into their family somewhere. They settled in Washington and Sullivan Cos., Tn. after the 1780s. Abel dying there about 1830. There is a land sale listing their children, but I wondered if there were older children as we do not have a correct marriage date for them. The children listed in the land sale our in order of oldest to youngest, John, who was born in 1772, Thomas, Nancy, Owen, Joshua, Abel, Arthur. Now there is one name missing from this group that appears over and over in the Edwards family and that is Samuel. The one date I have for Abel and Mary marriage is 27 June, 1764. Now if that is true you don't wait 12 years to start having kids. So I am looking for a Samuel Edwards because my Thomas named his only son Samuel. Whoops just realized this is not the first Sunday of the month. Janice Enk
