    3. Dear Pat Duncan, I was wondering if you would mind looking up a land transaction for me in your book, "Deed Abstracts of Fairfax Co, Va. 1742-1750". I have an ancestor,Valentine Holyfieled who obtained a land grant of 342 acres in March of 1729 in what what then Stafford County. By 1746 or 1747, I have been told that two relatives Daniel & I think Gideon Holyfield sold his land in 1746 or 1747,which I presume means he had passed away. Is this land transaction listed in your book? Thank you, Jim Holifield ----- Original Message ----- From: <valoudou-request@rootsweb.com> To: <valoudou@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 24, 2007 2:03 AM Subject: VALOUDOU Digest, Vol 2, Issue 184 > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. 3. I assume you mean Fairfax Co., not Fairfield Co. No mention of the name in the Fairfax Deed Abstracts by the Sparacios from 1742-1760. Christian Ruse does not appear on the Loudoun Tithables up to 1781, but does appear on the Loudoun Personal Property Tax Lists beginning in 1782. In 1793 he was assigned a lease for 150 acres of land.
