    2. Thank you Pat . I believe that Thorton's father may have been John Swartz, a Hessian soldier. He desserted and married someone from the Van Der Graff family of Philadelphia, and she was disowned. I have no proof of this, but my grandmother told me that years ago. Thank you for your help. 3. There is a John Swart in Loudoun on the following Personal Property Tax Lists: 1814, 1816-20 Cameron Parish (Second District) Swart, John (1 tithable) 1822-23 Second District Swart, John (2 tithables) 1824-1830 Second District Swart, John (1 tithable) 1831-1839 Second District Swart, John & brother Robert It could be that Thornton moved into Loudoun in the later 1810's. 1. [VALOUDOU] SWART(Z) and VENANDER/Rightmire connection?
    2. Alice
    3. Nancy...In researching the Rightmire's I have come across the name Adrian Swart in Loudoun County....Not sure if this is any help to you at all but if you think it is let me know. Much of what I have on James Rightmire...who was a blacksmith in Cameron Parish...was developed with the help of Pat Duncan. I beleive James Rightmire was my relative, probable fourth great grandfather. He was involved in several law suits and I recall the name Adrian Swart from at least one of them. ..Alice ----- Original Message ----- From: <Nmwil@aol.com> To: <valoudou@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2008 1:03 PM Subject: Re: [VALOUDOU] SWART(Z) and VENANDER > Thank you Pat . 3. Alice, Perhaps you could post whatever you have on the lawsuits of Adrian Swart to the list? It would help at least two of us. Thank you. 1. Re: [VALOUDOU] SWART(Z) and VENANDER/Rightmire connection?
    2. Hi Alice.? My name is Donna and I had many relatives in Loudoun VA in the 1800s.? You caught my interest with Adrian Swart.? I come from the Wesley Jenkins line, but I have a family picture of someone named Adrian Schwartz. At least we thought "Schwartz" was the spelling.? But I've? not been able to find anyone of that name in the Loudoun area.? So I'm thinking perhaps we have the wrong spelling of the name and it is actually Swart.? I also have a picture of Sallie Swart.? Do you have any other info on the Swart family?
