Teresia, this may not be any help to you, but I remembered the McCarty surname and relocated that Daniel McCarty was the second husband of Elizabeth Pope in our Payne family. They married on 19 October 1699, probably in Westmoreland Co. Her first husband was William Payne of Westmoreland Co. By this second marriage, she had 9 children: Dennis, Thaddeus, Billington, Katherine, Winifred, Sarah, an daughter with unknown name, Anna Barbara, and Daniel, Jr. This information was on Danny Payne's "The Paynes of Virginia" web site, but I see that it is no longer online. It may also be in Col. Brooke Payne's book _The Paynes of Virginia_. I hope this will be some help to you farther back than Loudoun Co.
