Stephen and Susannah Thetford Peirce/Pierce were the parents of the following: Lewis Peirce 2-26-1783 John Peirce 11-11-1784 Lewis Peirce 9-3-1786 Caleb Peirce 9-11-1788 Abram Peirce 8-19-1790 Elizabeth Peirce 10-1-1792 Mary Peirce 2-7-1795 Stephen Peirce 3-5-1798 Aholiab Peirce 3-5-1801 Notes: The information comes from a Peirce/ Sullivan Bible. There were two Lewis Peirces because the first died young. The second did not live very long either but longer that the first. The first died in 1785 and the second in 1793. I know the names are very popular names of the New England Peirce?Pierces but I don't have any real information that my family stopped in New England - nor do I have information that they didn't. The family lore states that two older brothers came from Wales with 11 year old Aholiab so the older ones could fight in the war of 1812 and left Aholiab with a relative. The older brothers deserted the English army and settled in America. This leaves several questions unanswered such as did the parents come to this country? The Bible is very complete and one would surmise that the parents and other siblings were here where the Bible entries were written. That doesn't have to be true though. Anne in KY
