This indenture made the 28th day of January in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Twenty six Between Mary Fox of the County of Loudoun and State of Virginia of the one part and Susan Burns of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth that the said Mary Fox for and in Consideration of the sum of ninety five dollars unto her in hand paid by the said Susan Burns of and before the sealing a delivery hereof the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledges she the said Mary Fox hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Susan Burns her heirs and assigns a Certain Lott of Land situate in the New Addition of the Town of Waterford in the County of Loudoun aforesaid and described in the plat of said New addition by Lot Number Sixty One on Second and Janney Streets Bounded as Follows Viz: Beginning at the intersection of the two Streets, thence with second Street, S 21 ½ W 4 poles to the Corner of Lott No 62, thence with said Lott No 68 ½ W 10 poles to the back Alley, thence with the Alley N 21 ½ E. 4 poles to Janney Street, thence S 68 ½ E 10 poles to the beginning Containing One quarter of an acre together also with all and singular the rights members, privileges, improvements, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, Rents, issues and profits thereof also all the Estate Rights, Title, Use, Possession, Property, Claim and Demand whatsoever of her the said Susan Burns, thereto, in Law Equity or otherwise however of into or out of all and singular the premises To have and to hold all and singular the premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said Susan Burns her heirs and assigns to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said Susan Burns her heirs and assigns forever And the said Mary Fox the said Lott of land and premises unto the said Susan Burns her heirs and assigns free from the claims of the heirs of the said Mary Fox and of all persons and every other person claiming by from or under said heirs shall will and doth warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness Whereof the said Mary Fox hath hereunto set her hand and seal the day and year first above written.
