    1. [VALOUDOU-L] Susan Burn/Byrnes/WRIGHT connection: Deeds 1/3
    2. John and Bronwen Souders
    3. For Lois Masters, Susan McIntyre and Sue Beach plus any other interested parties: For all others, hit your deletes now! I have transcribed three of the deeds from Mahlon Janney's estate after his death in 1812; the third transcription gives a LOT of Wright informatioon that perhaps will help tie together some of your Wrights. I'll look up any in our files if you find gaps but I thought I would send to you three first. I need the deed following the 5K one still....As I said before, this lot is known presently as 15619 Second Street. The black Wrights COULD have been descendants--but I have nothing to link them so far--something to keep looking for. Any slave names you come up with, let me know. I have a Waterford slave file as well as a Loudoun County slave file, and Sue Beach has a very good one (on file at Balch) she has compiled of the slaves of the families she is researching--which ones went to Liberia, which were mentioned in wills, etc--a LOT of research. Sorry to be so long with this. If the columns come through crazily, I will be happy to s-mail; I am a bit leery of sending attachments in this virus-y time though I am following R. McArtors advice and getting the latest Norton tomorrow to upgrade what I have... Wright/Beall Connection Bronwen - Please forgive my delay in replying. Thanks so much for the information which you sent. I am in almost continual contact with Susan McIntyre and have shared information with Sue Beach...working on the descendants of Anthony Wright. Although I am a descendant through Anthony Wright of near Waterford (whose origins were in Bucks Co., Pa), my lineage is through other than the line involving Susan Byrne. We are attempting to document the Wrights in the Loudoun Co., Virginia area. Just out of curiosity, would you suppose that those black Wrights in the area of Waterford were descendants of Anthony Wright or his sons through slaves? Just from my memory, I do recall that Anthony had at least one slave. And in other branches of the Wright family, there was at least one instance of a male Wright owning numerous slaves (per Loudoun Co Deed Book). Thanks for sharing your information Lois -
